cassia cinnamon stick
2 c
2 c
superfine sugar


  1. Muddle cinnamon sticks in a saucepan until broken into small shards
  2. Add water and sugar and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally
  3. Lower the heat, cover, and gently simmer for 4 minutes
  4. Remove from heat and let rest overnight
  5. Strain through a cheesecloth-lined sieve
