Double Rocks
Ingredients
- 11⁄2 oz
- Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon
- 1⁄2 oz
- Laird's 100 Proof Straight Apple Brandy (Bottled in Bond)
- 1⁄2 tsp
- cinnamon syrup
- 1 tsp
- demerara syrup
- 2 dash
- The Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters
- 2 dash
- Angostura aromatic bitters
- 1
- lemon twist as garnish
- 1
- orange twist as garnish
Stir it Up
- Stir all ingredients over ice
- Strain into double rocks glass with one large ice cube
- Garnish with lemon and orange twists

An Old-Fashioned variation.
Notes & Review
This riff on the Old-Fashioned is definitely great, but for whatever reason, doesn't live up to the original. The cinnamon notes are subtle but do add something novel, as does the apple brandy, although I'd consider trying this next time without the latter.
