Ingredients

11⁄2 oz
Fords Gin
3⁄4 oz
Dolin Blanc Vermouth
3⁄4 oz
Suze Saveur d'autrefois Liqueur
1
lemon twist as garnish

Stir it Up

  1. Stir all ingredients over ice
  2. Strain into double rocks glass with one large ice cube
  3. Garnish with lemon twist

Background & History

A paler riff on the classic Negroni created by Death & Co's Alex Day.

Notes & Review

A nice cocktail but pales (no pun intended) in comparison to the original (at least in our opinion). It's a bit zestier than the original but the Suze and Blanc doesn't seem to play as nicely as Campari and Rouge do. The Suze gives it a striking yellow hue which adds to its appeal.
