Ingredients

2 oz: Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whiskey
¹⁄₂ oz: Bénédictine
2 dash: Angostura aromatic bitters
1: lemon twist as garnish

Stir it Up

Stir all ingredients over ice
Strain into an Old-Fashioned glass over one large ice cube
Express lemon twist over glass and drop in

Background & History

A classic cocktail similar to the Old-Fashioned or Manhattan, but instead of sugar or sweet vermouth, Bénédictine stands in.

Notes & Review

Definitely a dry cocktail, but quite tasty and easy to make.
