Background & History

Vincenzo "Enzo" Errico supposedly first concocted this drink while at the Match Bar in London. It was then refined at the legendary Milk & Honey in NYC. It's a bit of a late bloomer, created in 2001 but cresting in popularity 20 years later.

Notes & Review

Delish! Tart, touch of bitter, and lingering sweetness from the grape + simple syrup combo, this is a fun warm weather cocktail (although tasty year-round), and a nice introduction to Campari, since it gets tamed much more than in a Negroni. It's a bit like a Negroni and Fitzgerald had a baby, and the baby was a green grape. We used Tanqueray for the gin.
