2 oz

El Tesoro Reposado Tequila

³⁄₄ oz

Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth

¹⁄₂ oz

Cynar

brandied cherry as garnish

Stir it Up

1. Stir all ingredients over ice
2. Strain into coupe
3. Garnish with cherry

Notes & Review

Better than the Sergio Leone.. but I'm now pretty convinced tequila just doesn't work as well in this type of cocktail as whiskey, or maybe gin. A more bourbon-y tequila might help. Carpano and Cynar are a nice combo and both come through nicely here. But missing that something special.
