Ingredients

1 rinse
Vieux Pontarlier Absinthe
2 oz
Hotaling & Co Genevieve Genever Style Gin
1⁄4 oz
demerara syrup
3 dash
Death & Co House Peychaud's Bitters
1
lemon twist as garnish

Stir it Up

  1. Rinse rocks glass with absinthe
  2. Stir remaining ingredients over ice
  3. Strain into rocks glass with one large ice cube
  4. Garnish with lemon twist

Notes & Review

A nice relatively simple Sazerac variation with a bit of funk and sweetness from the Genever playing nicely with the demerara syrup and absinthe.
