Cold Girl Fever

Ingredients

1³⁄₄ oz

The Famous Grouse Scotch

¹⁄₄ oz

Laphroaig 10-Year Scotch

1 tsp

raisin honey syrup

2 dash

Angostura aromatic bitters

1

orange twist as garnish

1

lemon twist as garnish

Stir it Up

1. Stir all ingredients over ice
2. Strain into Old-Fashioned glass over one large ice cube
3. Express orange twist over glass, rub around rim, and drop into drink
4. Express lemon twist over glass, and drop into drink

Notes & Review

A nice old-fashioned riff, with smokey notes from the scotch and sweet syrupy honey on the finish. The raisin got lost, but it could be that the syrup itself was not made well enough (the true recipe calls for an immersion circulator, instead of just letting it seep overnight).
